This brand new house is located on the island of Paros in the settlement of Kamari. For this project, the architects Natasha Deliyianni and Yiorgos Spiridonos, (REACT ARCHITECTS) have reinterpreted the cubic cycladic architecture with a modern and minimalist twist.
The house and the pool have been positioned on the plot in such a way that one can fully enjoy its amphitheatrical view on the valley, the Aegan sea and Antiparos.
The design of the main terrace’s stairs is an invitation to the water as they lead to the bottom of the pool, following the natural curve of the plot. Another staircase, baptised “THE EXPERIENCE” by Yiorgos Spiridonos, leads to the amazing rooftop and offers a splendid panoramic view on the mountain and the sea.
The Architects were focused on expressing a pure design, with simple volumes combining without complexity to meet the owner’s needs. The owners are
a filmmaking / art direction / music composition duo, with a shared aesthetic preoccupation and common language, so they were deeply involved with the design and execution from the project’s conception. Intimacy, cosiness, and comfort were key elements, and the bedrooms and their en-suite bathrooms are physically separated from each other for privacy. As for the living room and the kitchen, conviviality, livability and minimalism were a real obsession when conceiving the interior architecture.
To decorate their interior, they curated a mix of smart mid-century pieces from emblematic designers sourced from markets, in Paris, Athens and Paros, lending a chic Mediterranean-bohemian style to the house.

REACT ARCHITECTS
is an office of architectural studies that aims at a theoretical approach on Architecture, through a research oriented procedure.
Architecture is faced as an entirety in collaboration with the all specialities that supplement the constructional and artistic creation. The office studies small and big scale projects, public (libraries – hotels cultural centres landscape design etc.) as well as private (residences-office – exhibition kiosks -shops etc).
Interior design constitutes an important sector in our work. Interior design of residences, office spaces, hotels and shops are some of our field of work.
Our experience with a wide spectrum of projects gives us the advantage of proposing design applications with originality and uniqueness.
We strive to combine archetypes found in Greek architecture with design ideas that meet the demands of 21st century needs. Thus experimenting on an aesthetic vocabulary we create the junction between ideas and construction.
Office Projects has been published in Greek and European magazines. Its founding members have participated in Greek and international competitions gaining awards and discriminations.
Two office projects were included in the‘Best Built Work of the years 2008-2010’ of magazine STRUCTURES on 2011.
The project “Summer houses in Paros” received 5th Place in the‘Best Built Work of the years 2009-2011 of magazine STRUCTURES on 2012.

Born in Athens in 1968.Received a Bachelor of Architecture from N.T.U.A. in 1993.She completed her graduate studies in 1995 at the University of California Los Angeles (March II Program).Teaching Assistant Position at March I Program. From 1996 to 1997 she collaborated with the Architect Yiorgos Spiridonos in small private projects and Architectural Competitions. She was partner of Meta Architecture design team, from 1997 since 2007. She is co-founder of React Architects since 2007. Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1993
Yiorgos Spiridonos – Co Owner
