Welcome to Little Green Bay

_i_v7a9629_jpg_5666_north_1160x_whiteJust off the beautiful coast of Croatia, a multitude of islands await travellers in search of authenticity, less than three hours from London. In a green, tranquil garden, a luxurious guest housewelcomes you for an enchanting break.

Nestling in a secluded bay, our old restored farmhouse blends seamlessly into nature. Its noble, traditional materials – wood, stone and glass – blend into the vegetation.

Little Green Bay, where a Parisian designer and her brother, an expert in the art of hospitality, decided to breathe life into their dream.

Here in Hvar, Julie and Mathieu welcome you with warmth and charm. Your wishes, whatever they may be, are respected – whether you want to be left alone in the world with your sweetheart or you’re sharing a convivial holiday with a group of friends. In this place full of charm, your encounters can be curious, are often beautiful – and always rewarding. And no two moments are ever alike.

In this entirely renovated old building on the island of Hvar, boundaries between the inside and the outside become blurred. Enjoy the freshness of an outdoor shower, or an invigorating massage beneath the trees. Clever use of stretched fabrics softens light and creates an intimate atmosphere.

Luxury, peace and quiet are our watchwords in this enchanting place.

cqzuzs5weae-robThe beach is almost deserted, the setting perfect. And the constantly changing light creates an atmosphere like nowhere else. The sea is so warm and clear it’s impossible to resist. Nature is firmly in charge, with only a few small houses by the water.

Here on the beach at the Little Green Bay, our guests’ days are lazy and relaxed – and our hospitality extends to offering them the special care they deserve: refreshments, massages for the feet, hands or head – and everything one could need to have fun on the beach. Snorkels, masks, fins and paddles are available, as well as inflatable floating cushions.

Evenings under the Mediterranean stars are as wonderful as they sound. Our guests share the sunset with an al fresco aperitif. And the night continues on our private landing stage, where you can enjoy an evening like no other in a place like nowhere else.

Our boat
The hotel’s 11m, semi-rigid dinghy is at the disposition of all our guests for transfers, excursions, for half or full days – or simply to enjoy the sunset. Everything is provided on board: cold drinks, a cabin, sun shade, shower and toilet.

After you’ve worked up an appetite with a morning swim, and the sun is high in the sky, there’s a choice to make: where to eat. Lunch al fresco with a sea view, or perhaps the cosy, intimate ambiance of our restaurant? The menu offers the best of Mediterranean cuisine – simple and delicious French-style cooking using local ingredients, complemented with a selection of wonderful French and Italian wines.

The scent of home cooking mingles with the fragrances of aromatic herbs wafting up from the garden, creating a reverie of well-being and contentment. Siesta time.

And to create a true atmosphere of conviviality, once a week Julie and Mathieu offer you the chance to join them to share a traditional Croat dish together.

“Our bistro offers inexpensive, high-quality menus, with starters between €5 and €15, main courses between €10 and €25, and desserts between €5 and €9.”
